At The Blind Factory, we know that every home tells a story filled with personality and heart—and we were proud to be part of Space Invaders’ unique and heartfelt transformation for Iliana, her daughter Mia, and her new partner Rob.
Meet Iliana
Blending families is never easy—especially when space is tight and clutter takes over. For Iliana, her obsession with collectables had slowly engulfed the small terrace house she shared with her teenage daughter Mia and new partner Rob. As every surface disappeared beneath souvenirs and keepsakes, it became clear their home needed a reset to create room for the future.
The Space Invaders team stepped in to turn chaos into connection, giving Iliana’s family a space where everyone could feel at home. The Blind Factory was proud to complete the transformation with beautiful, practical window furnishings designed to match their unique style.
The Transformation
Iliana’s growing collection of trinkets and treasures made it difficult for her and her family to function day-to-day. With tensions rising and little room to come together, they needed help creating a space that worked for all three of them.
The Space Invaders team took on the task with creativity and care:
✔ Peter Walsh helped Iliana clear out years of clutter to make room for her blended family.
✔ Cherie Barber tackled a challenging renovation in a tight rental terrace, maximising every inch of space.
✔ Angie Kent created a quirky, heartfelt display to showcase Iliana’s souvenirs—including her memories of meeting rock legend Billy Idol.
