How Outdoor Blinds Can Transform Your Summer Entertaining Area

Make your patio, balcony or alfresco space summer-ready with stylish, functional outdoor blinds.

Summer in Australia is all about outdoor living — BBQs, long lunches, pool days, warm evenings and everything in between. And if your outdoor area is the heart of your home during the warmer months, the right outdoor blinds can completely transform how you use and enjoy that space.

From shade and comfort to privacy and style, here’s how Ziptrak®, Zipscreen and other outdoor blind solutions help you create the ultimate summer entertaining area.

Enjoy cooler, more comfortable outdoor gatherings

Australian summer sun is strong — and without proper shade, outdoor entertaining can become uncomfortable quickly. Outdoor blinds help create a cool, sheltered environment so you can enjoy your alfresco area all day long.

Benefits include:

• Reduced heat and UV exposure

• Less glare for afternoon lunches

• Better protection for kids and guests

• A more comfortable, breezy space

Mesh fabrics allow airflow while blocking harsh sunlight, making every gathering feel much more pleasant.

Block wind without blocking your view

Nothing interrupts a summer gathering like strong winds — especially in coastal and open suburban areas. Outdoor blinds act as a barrier, providing wind protection while still maintaining visibility.

With high-quality mesh or clear PVC blinds, you can:

• Keep the breeze under control

• Maintain comfortable airflow

• Protect your food, décor and furniture

• Enjoy the outdoors without the chill

Outdoor blinds let you enjoy the fresh air without dealing with gusts or dust.

Turn your outdoor area into an extra room

Outdoor blinds help define your alfresco area, making it feel like a natural extension of your home. They add structure, privacy and ambience — creating a space that’s perfect for dining, lounging or entertaining.

Great for:

• Patios

• Pergolas

• Decks

• Balconies

• Pool areas

• Townhouses needing privacy

Add lighting, outdoor cushions and greenery, and you’ve instantly created a summer-ready outdoor room.

Add privacy without sacrificing natural light

Many Australian homes are built close to neighbours, making privacy a major concern — especially during gatherings.

Outdoor blinds give you:

• Daytime privacy

• Soft filtered views

• The ability to entertain confidently

• Natural light without feeling exposed

Mesh blinds maintain visibility from inside out, while reducing visibility from outside in — perfect for suburban living.

Protect your outdoor furniture & entertaining setup

Your outdoor furniture, BBQ and accessories are exposed to the elements — sun, wind, dust and light rain. The right blinds help keep everything fresher for longer.

Outdoor blinds help prevent:

• Fading and sun damage

• Weather deterioration

• Insect intrusion

• Dust build-up

This means your outdoor entertaining area stays clean, protected and ready to use at any time.

Perfect for poolside entertaining

Outdoor blinds are ideal for creating shaded lounge areas by the pool. Whether you’re supervising kids or hosting friends, blinds help cool the space and provide a stylish, functional backdrop.

Mesh options still let you enjoy the view while giving you much-needed sun protection.

Make summer gatherings look and feel incredible

From Christmas lunch to New Year’s Eve and casual weekend BBQs, outdoor blinds elevate your entertaining area with a clean, modern look.

Choose from:

• Sleek neutral mesh

• Clear PVC for uninterrupted views

• Motorised options for effortless control

• Custom colours to match your exterior

With custom-made solutions, your alfresco area will look polished and inviting all season long.
